This is a large commercial cemetery, established about 1912 as "Woodland Cemetery", with the first burial on 18 January 1917 (Sarah Lazenby). By October 1917, Woodland had been renamed Memorial Park and it became part of the Washington Park Cemetery Association in 1984.
In 2015, the cemetery association provided us with the records for most of the 28,000 burials here. These records have been loaded into our burial database.
Note: there are a number of deaths that predate January 1917. However those persons were moved from other cemeteries to Memorial Park at a later date.
