Plainfield Genealogy Group Program - "How Did My Ancestors Die?"

The human skeleton holds a lot of information about a person, if you know where to look.  Join Rachel Sharkey from the Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology to learn what types of things bioarchaeologists look for when studying skeletal remains.  Learn how characteristics like the shape of the pelvis and the wear on the teeth can help to tell the story of how a person lived.  Special attention will be given to the historical diseases that may have inflicted early settlers in Indiana and how bioarchaeological analysis can tell us about those maladies.
