Perkins Farm Cemetery (Marion Co, Lawrence Twp) 7401 Sunnyside Road Oaklandon, IN GSMC Code: LA133 WPA Code: #55
This is one of the "lost" cemeteries in Lawrence twp. The actual location is only known from the WPA burials project during the 1930's.
The WPA map states that this farm graveyard was supposedly located just north of Indian Creek. The coordinates are NW-SW-Sec. 28-T17N-R5E. The land is extremely rough in this area, and it’s hard to imagine a burial ground anywhere around there.
Thomas A. Perkins had a farm on this site, so it’s possibly his family.
Nothing else is known of the cemetery and there appear to be no burial records.
