.Ron Darrah, GSMC Vice President and Librarian, will be the speaker. This is a new presentation that he has just developed.  This program is a blended presentation about the construction of the first Federal interstate highway into the Northwest Territory area and how one family traveled that road and settled along the newly opened pathway.

Dale Lane, VP of the Museum Board, will be at our library to give us an introduction to what you can see at the Museum, He also will talk about a book he has published about 760 letters his father wrote to his mother during WWII and a powerpoint program on V-mail.

In Person - Irvington Historical Society, Bona Thompson Memorial Center at 5350 University Avenue
We will have our Annual Show & Tell or Tell A Story program and also celebrate new inductees into the First Families and Civil War Families and there might be some surprises!

Angi Porter, Librarian at the Genealogy Division of the Indiana State Library will be presenting this program. The presentation will cover an overview of African American History and Genealogy and why you should learn about African American Genealogy.  Learn how you can be a Genealogy Ally!  A discussion will be at the end.  Handouts will be available.
