Have you been thinking about how to start recording family stories to enhance your genealogy and not sure how to go about it?  Recording the family stories of yur relatives is an important way genealogists and family historians can be sure memories will be available for future generations.  Dr. Michelle Marion, the Deputy Director of the Indiana Historical Bureau, will help us navigate the idea of doing an oral history.  The program highlights the best practices in the field of oral history and provides the basic tools to begin conducting oral histories.  Learn how to prepare for the interview, create interview guides, form interview questions, navigate insider/outsider status and preserve the interview.
